Renowned scientist Jane Goodall Expressed Wish to Send Musk and Trump on One-Way Cosmic Voyage
After devoting her life studying chimpanzee behavior, Jane Goodall became a specialist on the aggressive tendencies of alpha males. In a recently released interview filmed shortly before her death, the famous primatologist disclosed her unconventional solution for addressing specific people she viewed as displaying similar characteristics: launching them on a non-return journey into space.
Posthumous Film Discloses Frank Opinions
This extraordinary viewpoint into Goodall's mindset emerges from the Netflix film "Famous Last Words", which was recorded in March and kept confidential until after her recently announced passing at 91 years old.
"I've encountered individuals I'm not fond of, and I would like to place them on one of Musk's spaceships and dispatch them to the world he's certain he's going to discover," remarked Goodall during her conversation with the interviewer.
Named Figures Mentioned
When inquired whether the tech billionaire, known for his questionable behavior and associations, would be among them, Goodall answered with certainty.
"Oh, absolutely. He'd be the leader. Picture the people I would place on that spaceship. In addition to Musk would be Donald Trump and various Trump's real supporters," she stated.
"Additionally I would add Russia's leader among them, and I would include China's President Xi. I would definitely include Benjamin Netanyahu on that journey and his far-right government. Send them all on that vessel and send them off."
Past Observations
This was not the initial instance that Goodall, a supporter of ecological preservation, had shared negative views about the political figure specifically.
In a previous discussion, she had observed that he displayed "the same sort of actions as a male chimpanzee demonstrates when he's competing for supremacy with a rival. They stand tall, they parade, they present themselves as really more large and hostile than they truly are in order to intimidate their competitors."
Leadership Styles
During her final interview, Goodall expanded upon her analysis of leadership types.
"We see, notably, two categories of alpha. The first achieves dominance solely through combat, and since they're powerful and they battle, they don't last very long. Others do it by utilizing strategy, like a younger individual will only challenge a higher ranking one if his companion, often his brother, is with him. And as we've seen, they last significantly longer," she clarified.
Group Dynamics
The celebrated primatologist also studied the "social dimension" of behavior, and what her comprehensive research had revealed to her about combative conduct shown by people and primates when faced with something they viewed as threatening, even if no threat truly existed.
"Chimps see an unfamiliar individual from a nearby tribe, and they grow all excited, and the hair stands out, and they extend and contact each other, and they show visages of rage and terror, and it transmits, and the remaining members adopt that emotion that one member has had, and everyone turns aggressive," she explained.
"It's contagious," she continued. "Certain displays that become hostile, it permeates the group. They all want to get involved and turn violent. They're guarding their domain or fighting for control."
Comparable Human Reactions
When inquired if she thought similar dynamics were present in people, Goodall answered: "Perhaps, sometimes yes. But I strongly feel that the majority of individuals are decent."
"My main objective is raising this new generation of empathetic people, roots and shoots. But is there sufficient time? It's unclear. It's a really grim time."
Historical Context
Goodall, originally from London five years before the commencement of the the global conflict, likened the struggle against the challenges of contemporary politics to England opposing German forces, and the "determined resistance" displayed by Winston Churchill.
"That doesn't mean you don't have periods of sadness, but then you come out and declare, 'Well, I'm not going to permit their victory'," she remarked.
"It's similar to the leader in the war, his renowned address, we will oppose them along the shores, we'll fight them along the roads and the cities, subsequently he remarked to an associate and was heard to say, 'and we'll fight them using the fragments of broken bottles as that's the only thing we truly have'."
Parting Words
In her concluding remarks, Goodall shared inspiring thoughts for those combating authoritarian control and the environmental crisis.
"In current times, when Earth is dark, there remains hope. Maintain optimism. If you lose hope, you become apathetic and take no action," she recommended.
"Should you desire to protect the existing splendor across the globe – should you desire to preserve Earth for the future generations, future family, their offspring – then contemplate the choices you implement daily. As, replicated a million, multiple occasions, minor decisions will create substantial improvement."
